I am preparing for another trip this weekend this time I will have a passenger my Dad and my trusty Garmin to help keep my Dad in line. I am hoping that Dad and the Garmin don't get into hugh fight over which way is the best way to go! We stop at Brian's for Pizza- homemade pizza (rising in the car as we drive), Liz is driving up from Washington for dinner then taking Dad down to her house for the weekend. On Sunday Brian and I are driving to Liz's house on for Easter dinner.
I am resting after driving down with my Dad to Baltimore we had pizza for dinner on Friday at Brian's apartment. Dad and Liz went on to Washington for the weekend we are meeting up with them on Sunday for a delicious Easter dinner.
Jenni has returned back in the Good Old USA I am hoping to call her tomorrow so she can discuss the pictures she took in Italy.
Brian and I started our weekend by checking out his new work at the studio- it goes without saying that his work was wonderful, we also dropped into a Kohl's for some shopping and finished at the Lexington Food Market- now that is a gigantic market. we picked up some supplies for dinner.
Gary is surviving at home he has been invited to his neighbors for Easter dinner....I am glad he is going but I have spent many days at home alone while Gary is away and NEVER have I been invited to anything at their house. I bake all the cookies and cakes that we give to them at Christmas and I talk with them but I guess they think maybe a woman can take care of herself on the other hand it makes up for the many times my family knew Gary was home on Thanksgivings, & Easter when I worked he would be left at home alone.

A fun week-end
I was somewhat leery of driving down to New Jersey because of the "muscles" I would use.... WHAT the hell am I talking about muscles unfortunately that is my life. Wondering what is going to cause me pain and then planning my day around avoiding this pain is a daily ritual. The actual muscles you use in the “activities of daily living” is something most people don't contemplate on a daily basis but when I am planning a trip they are “#1” on my hit parade. Usually I get into the car crawl into the back seat and fall asleep- then Gary enjoys quiet rides. Generally, I have a pillow that I use to support my facial, arm, chest, back and finally my neck muscles along with loading up on medication to smooth out the drive. This time however I would be faced with my first solo journey in many years, but on the positive side, it was a way of reclaiming part of my independence pre-pain. On the day of the trip the weather was perfect and I always did enjoy being on the open road listening to the radio or an Audio book as the landscape flies past your window. I did have to stop at several rest stops briefly and I did get lost within 25 miles of my final destination but I made it and I truly enjoyed the ride. The weekend was terrific of coarse seeing Brian was the highlight of the trip. Along with visiting with Brian I was able to reconnecting with Madeline, Glenn, Laurie, and Jeff, which was delightful as well; we all gathered at Glenn and Laurie’s house for a delicious dinner and great conversation.
My trip home was just as the trip down but instead of getting lost at the end of my trip I got lost in New Jersey again but then my handy Garmin jumped into service saving the day and getting me on 80West and home.
