Sr. vs. Jr.

I am watching one of the last episodes of Orange County Chopper: Sr. vs. Jr. it is so sad that the father has his head screwed on ass backward. It is a reality show that deals with a family making motorcycles for lots of money which in itself working with family is difficult. I saw that first hand with my Father and his brothers- the screaming that I witnessed was unbelievable. Sr. fired Jr. due to a difference in work habits. Sr.’s felt that his children needed to work for him because he was the one that make their birth possible they owe him for their very existence. His children need to work for everything in life and to repay Sr. for raising them. His thinking was that he expenses for them for 20 years and now it was their turn to repay him and to live under HIS RULES- (his way or the highway) Sr.’s rules to live everyday and every night by. There was no wonder that an explosion happened it was interesting to see it unfold on the TV screen but the fall out after Sr. fired Jr. was even sadder- the father cannot see how confused his thinking was. The father became even more malicious and vindictive. In one instance Sr. has his crew make a ramp put a dummy named Jr., lash it on a motorcycle, then see how far and mangled the body could be. Sr. is one very miss guided man- his family experience must have been very abusive because that much rage and anger doesn’t come from a loving caring home.

The first part of our trip to Rome

We have returned from our holiday in Italy. Gary and I spent seven days exploring Rome, Florence, and finishing up in Venice. I have loaded up the first batch of pictures and processed them into a video to watch. As the Italians say “Roma” is one busy city everyone seems to live in apartments I couldn’t see any homes in or around the city. The ancient relics, statues, buildings, and much more are over whelming – it made me wonder who has walked on these stones how they built these structures. The art work the fountains so much to see and so little time you want to see everything, there was a great deal of walking, my cane helped an enormous amount along with my support hose boy I am getting old. The plane ride over was great we arrived early I was able to lie down across five empty seats and the Danish in the morning hit the spot. We then met up with our tour group Globus- 40 other people joined us, after a very short nap and a long meeting we walked through the streets to a cute little place where we enjoyed a six course dinner along with a man playing “It’s Amora” on a small keyboard! We started at the Arco de Constantino, the tour people took a group picture but we didn’t purchase the picture. The others on the tour are nice people but the chance I will ever see those people again is nil.

A sad day for Lycoming College

Some time as gone by since my last post. I have been busy tracking my pain and keeping my family’s medical problems on the up side. Jenni had another KIDNEY STONE it seems that the stone that had been lodged in her kidney decided this would be the time to “go on the move”. She had another harrowing trip to the ER which expressed itself by the usual vomiting and demanding something for pain. A few days rest and the pains have gone whether she passed the stone is up for discussion only time will tell if the journey of Jenni’s kidney stone is over. Brian has been experiencing rashes and some general being uncomfortableness since moving into his apartment in Philly but he is dealing with them as they come along with reviewing his tetanus shot status which is he is up to date on all his shots. My Dad had a flare up of his “4th of July injury of ‘09” just on a different spot Carl has been doing the changing of the bandage. I have had a reoccurrence of shingles only this time it is on my face- a dot on my nose with pain radiating under my left eye area. I laughed when I received my diagnosis because it was just the icing on the cake of all the ridiculous illnesses we have experienced. Now Glenn has had a normal problem meaning that he had a double knee replacement surgery and appears to be doing well. Gary could not let Glenn up stage him so he twisted his knee coming up stairs, the doctor told him after doing X-rays that he has arthritis and the twist aggravated it. Gary will just have to take it easy; he is back to work now.
